Information
Use WebDAV to access your icloud drive from a device such as a mobile phone or a computer without using your Internet Browser.
It allows you to upload, download and handle files just as if you were using a USB memory stick or an external hard drive.

Mac OS has built in support for WebDAV
- First open Go in the main menu, while no application is focused and select Connect to Server...
- Type in the full URL to the service: "http://webdav.icloud.com/your_icloud_username" (in lowercase) and click Connect
- Type in your username (in lowercase) and password in the authentication dialog and click OK
Linux
Linux has built in support for WebDAV
- First open your File Explorer (Nautilus or Konqueror).
- Open File in the menubar and select Connect to Server...
- In the dialog that appears select WebDAV (HTTP) as Service type
- Set Server as "webdav.icloud.com" (in lowercase)
- Set Folder to "your_icloud_username" (in lowercase) and click Connect
- Type in your username (in lowercase) and password in the authentication dialog that appears and click Connect
Android
Android can access icloud
Tested with HTC Hero on Android 1.6.
Currently only a single application offers WebDAV on Android, and you can try it for 30 days then purchase it if you like it.
Installing the application
- Try to locate PaderSyncDAV on Android Market, scan the QR Code with a Scanner app or go to this link on your Android Browser: http://www.pader-sync.com/PaderSyncDAV.apk
- If you downloaded the file, use eoeAppInstaller to install the downloaded file (see Android Market)
Connecting to icloud
- Open PaderSyncDAV
- Type in the host: "webdav.icloud.com/username" (in lowercase)
- Type in the user as "username" (in lowercase)
- Type in the pass as "your password"
- Click on the arrow in the lower right corner and in the menu that appears choose Connect.
- The application will require you to confirm that you wish to use an Internet Connection, click Yes, and you are done!
iPhone & iPad
iPhone has several apps that can access icloud
Tested with iPhone 3GS.
We have a short list of iPhone apps that we have tried with icloud, more are available in the App Store:
ezShare Pro
- Open ezShare
- Click on Add a Server...
- Click on Other WebDAV
- Enter "icloud" as a description
- Enter "http://webdav.icloud.com/yourusername" as URL (lowercase)
- Enter your username (lowercase) as user
- Enter your password
- Click on Save
Air Sharing Pro (iTunes Link)
- Open Air Sharing Pro
- Click on +
- Click on WebDAV Server
- Enter "webdav.icloud.com/yourusername" (lowercase) as Hostname
- Enter "icloud" as alias
- Enter your username (lowercase)
- Enter your password
- Click Save
Windows Phone / Windows Mobile
Windows Mobile has access to icloud
Tested with Windows Mobile 6.1 on HTC Touch Diamond2.
You can try the application free for 30 days then you can purchase it if you like it.
Installing the application
- Download and install Java Virtual Machine from Sun Microsystems at javafx.com on your mobilephone (needs to be installed on device not storage card)
- Download and install PaderSyncDAV Java from pader-sync.com
- When installing, uncheck the "Native Text Input" option in the settings so that the software can input text
Connecting to icloud
- Open PaderSyncDAV
- Type in the host: "webdav.icloud.com/username" (in lowercase)
- Type in the user as "username" (in lowercase)
- Type in the pass as "your password"
- Click on the arrow in the lower right corner and in the menu that appears choose Connect.
- The application will require you to confirm that you wish to use an Internet Connection, click Yes, and you are done!
