Skype add-on for Internet Explorer and Firefox

Because the Skype add-on causes icloud to run slowly, we are recommending that users uninstall it from their computers

Uninstalling from Internet Explorer

Note: this will not delete Skype from your computer, just Skype's add-on from your browser. You will most likely be able to load pages faster than before.

  1. Open Microsoft Internet Explorer.
  2. Click on Tools in the menu bar.
  3. Click on the Manage Add-Ons option in the list.
  4. Find and select any add-ons from Skype, then click the Disable button.
  5. Click OK when you're done.
  6. Restart your browser and visit http://os.icloud.com

Uninstalling from Firefox

Note: This will not delete Skype from your computer, just Skype's add-on from your browser. You will most likely be able to load pages faster than before.

  1. Open Mozilla Firefox.
  2. Click on Tools in the menu bar.
  3. When choose the Add-ons option in the list.
  4. Click on the Extensions tab.
  5. Locate the "Skype extension for Firefox" in the list and select it.
  6. Click on the Uninstall button.
  7. Confirm that you want to delete it by clicking on Uninstall again.
  8. Restart your browser and visit http://os.icloud.com
